Engaged Mindfulness: Meditation for Peace and Unity and Letter Writing Gathering

When: August 13 (Saturday) from 10:30 am – noon online via Zoom

True, embodied mindfulness is both a practice and a way of living – we are mindfully engaged, moment by moment, with others and the world. A true democracy depends on everybody having a voice. Join us for a special FREE gathering combining both of these values online via Zoom.  This is a kind and accessible way to make a difference – research shows handwritten letters increase voter turnout. During our time together, we will enjoy a meditation wishing peace and unity for the people of the US, discuss the ways in which mindfulness can help contribute to a co-creating a more sustainable and equitable world, and write letters to encourage Americans to vote in upcoming elections. This is a non-partisan event and we will not be discussing our political affiliation or beliefs beyond our strong commitment to peace, unity and democracy.

Tatiana Padrón Perich, profesora certificada de Mindfulness, ofrece una serie introductoria de mindfulness de 6 semanas en español. Inner Space Mindfulness Practice Gathering

FREE Weekly Mindfulness Practice Gathering

When: Sundays from 6-7 pm through 2021

Where: Inner Space Yoga in the Crossroads are of Kansas City

This meeting is led by a trained mindfulness teacher, is suitable for beginners and advanced practitioners, and will offer some combination of gentle mindful movement, guided meditation, and/or discussion. Pre-registration is required (click the link and then click the class you’d like to attend) as space is limited. Mask wearing and physical distancing guidelines will be followed.
