Intro to Mindfulness Course

When: Tuesdays Feb 1-22, 2022 from 7:30-9 pm Central time

Where: Online via Zoom

This meeting is led by a certified mindfulness teacher, highly experiential, and meant for absolute beginners. Participants attend four 90-minute classes introducing the fundamentals of mindfulness, an introduction to many of the formal and informal practices, and suggestions for starting and maintaining a practice. A “pay what you can” option is available for people experiencing significant financial hardship.

Join Kansas City metropolitan community members from the sectors of business, mental health, education, environmental stewardship, law enforcement, religion, etc. for the next Mindful Kansas City Initiative planning meeting. We are exploring ways in which applying the skills and attitudes of mindfulness to our relationships with ourselves, others and our environment, the work we do, and our everyday lives, might offer an upstream approach to addressing some of our community’s most pressing concerns. We are operating from a belief that increasing awareness of and exposure to the practices of mindfulness can help create a paradigm shift and change in consciousness required for deep and sustainable beneficial change.
