Engaged Mindfulness: Meditation for Peace and Unity and Letter Writing Gathering

When: August 13 (Saturday) from 10:30 am – noon online via Zoom

True, embodied mindfulness is both a practice and a way of living – we are mindfully engaged, moment by moment, with others and the world. A true democracy depends on everybody having a voice. Join us for a special FREE gathering combining both of these values online via Zoom.  This is a kind and accessible way to make a difference – research shows handwritten letters increase voter turnout. During our time together, we will enjoy a meditation wishing peace and unity for the people of the US, discuss the ways in which mindfulness can help contribute to a co-creating a more sustainable and equitable world, and write letters to encourage Americans to vote in upcoming elections. This is a non-partisan event and we will not be discussing our political affiliation or beliefs beyond our strong commitment to peace, unity and democracy.
